Why we stopped being an agency and bet everything on AI products

Every Indian software company faces the same fork in the road: sell hours, or build products.

Selling hours is the safe path. There is always demand for custom software, the revenue starts immediately, and nobody questions the model. That is where Zettaura started too — custom software, cloud work, consulting. It pays the bills. It also quietly caps everything: your revenue scales with headcount, your best engineering goes into someone else's product, and at the end of the year the thing you built belongs to somebody else.

We made the call to stop. Zettaura is now a product company, full stop. This post is the honest version of why, and what we're building instead.

The moment it clicked

While doing client work, we kept running into the same pattern: the most painful workflows in every business were the boring, everyday ones. Documents that needed signatures sat in inboxes for days. Agreements got approved over WhatsApp screenshots. Organizers ran event bookings through spreadsheets and DM threads. Everyone tolerated this friction because "that's just how it works."

AI changed the math. For the first time, a two-person team could build software that actually understands a contract, reads a document, or organizes a booking flow end to end — not just digitize the paperwork, but remove the work itself.

So we picked a lane: take everyday workflows the world tolerates and rebuild them as AI-native products.

What we're building

Three products, one thesis:

• ZiaSign — our flagship, live today. AI contract intelligence and eSignatures: send, sign, track, and actually understand agreements in one secure workflow.
• MakeMySquad — launching soon. Discovering and booking live experiences — sports, music, workshops — with QR ticketing and UPI payments, starting from our home city, Coimbatore.
• Buckhy — in development. An AI workspace for business and personal finance.

Different categories, same playbook: find a workflow people quietly hate, rebuild it AI-first, launch it, and let the product speak.

Why "crafted in India" is the point, not the disclaimer

There's a stereotype we intend to break. "Indian software company" is still read as outsourcing — cheap hours, someone else's spec. Meanwhile, companies like Zoho have proven for decades that India can build world-class products used globally, on its own terms.

We're bootstrapped. We don't have a marketing department or a fundraising story to perform. What we have is craft — the willingness to obsess over a signing flow, a booking screen, a document pipeline, until it feels effortless. That obsession travels. A well-crafted product doesn't carry an accent.

That's why our line is "World-class AI products, crafted in India." Not aspiration — standard.

What this means in practice

A few commitments we hold ourselves to, publicly:

1. Honest numbers only. No invented user counts, no fake testimonials, no "trusted by 10,000 companies" until 10,000 companies actually trust us. If you see a number on our site, it's real.
2. Products over promises. ZiaSign is live and usable today. MakeMySquad has a working platform behind its waitlist. We ship, then talk.
3. Building in public. This blog, and my posts on LinkedIn, document the real journey — decisions, mistakes, and lessons included.

Where this goes

The next few quarters are about depth: growing ZiaSign, launching MakeMySquad, and shaping Buckhy with early users. If the thesis is right, Zettaura becomes something rare — an Indian product house with a portfolio of focused AI products, each one removing a chunk of everyday friction.

If you're a founder on the same road, the fork is worth taking seriously. The hours you sell are gone forever. The product compounds.
